Sol Academy Space Agency is a one-day-per-week STEM enrichment program for homeschool students in grades 3–12. It is not a school and does not provide a full academic curriculum, grading, transcripts, or diplomas. Instead, it is a hands-on supplement designed to support and enhance your existing homeschool education by making math, physics, engineering, and technology exciting and purposeful through running a mock space agency.
-
No. Sol Academy Space Agency is an enrichment program only. It complements your at-home homeschooling by providing immersive, project-based STEM experiences one day per week. All core academic subjects, record-keeping, and compliance with Pennsylvania homeschool laws remain your responsibility as the home educator.
-
No. As an enrichment program, we do not assign grades, issue report cards, or provide transcripts. We do, however, help students build impressive portfolios of mission plans, calculations, designs, and presentations that families can include in their own homeschool records.
-
Perfectly! With sessions just one day per week (different day options available), it adds social interaction, collaborative projects, and expert-led STEM instruction without overwhelming your family’s schedule. Many families use the weekly “mission prep” assignments as meaningful math and science supplements to their core curriculum.

We welcome homeschool students in grades 3–12, divided into three cohorts (3–5, 6–8, and 9–12) that work together in a family-style format within the same space agency. Older students take on leadership roles and mentor younger ones, creating a supportive multi-age learning environment.
-
No prerequisites—just curiosity and a willingness to explore! We provide all specialized materials. Students only need bring notebooks and writing instruments. Scientific calculators will be made available, but students having and bringing their own would be advantageous.
